The house
A contemporary build: panelled feature walls, warm indirect lighting, an open-plan living room that runs into the dining space, and glazing onto the garden. Nothing about it is a reproduction of an older Marrakech house, which is the point — it is new, and everything in it works.
Outside
A private pool sits on a lawn with terraces and planting around it, lit for the evening. The garden is the room everyone ends up in.
How it is let
Rooms and suites can be booked individually, and the whole villa can be taken for one party. For a group, whole-house hire is almost always the right answer — it removes the question of who else is in the garden.

The area
Villa Jamila is in Marrakech rather than in one of the outlying grove districts. We confirm the exact address and the drive to the medina when we quote, because that is the detail that decides whether you need a driver for the week.
What the photos won't tell you
Every listing in the world photographs the pool from its best corner, and no photograph answers the questions that decide a stay. So before you commit, we put the following in writing for your dates:
- How far the car gets, and how many metres and steps remain with the luggage.
- Who the neighbours are, and what you will hear at five in the morning.
- Whether the pool is heated, and in which months that decides whether you swim.
- What “staffed” covers — who is there, at what hours, and who cooks.
- Where the wifi actually reaches, not just where the router is.
- Which of the property’s own photographs were taken with a wide-angle lens, and what a room looks like from the doorway.
Common questions
Can we have the whole villa to ourselves?
Yes. The villa is let both by room and as a whole house; for a group we quote whole-house exclusive use.
Is the pool private?
Yes, the pool is in the villa’s own garden and is not shared with a neighbouring property.
How new is the house?
Recent. The interiors and the pool terrace were finished in the last couple of years, which shows in the fittings.
