Highlights
- Whole villa to one party — no shared areas
- Six suites around an arched fountain courtyard
- Hand-carved cedar, tadelakt and brass throughout
- Long pool set among mature palms
- Staff and kitchen included in the stay
Exclusive use, and what that changes
The whole villa goes to one party. There is no reception, no other guests at breakfast, nobody else in the pool. For a family or a group of friends this is the difference that matters more than any fitting.
The house
Six suites open off an arched courtyard with a fountain at its centre, finished in tadelakt with hand-carved cedar and brass. The family who built it were receiving guests here long before it was ever let, and the plan shows it: the rooms are arranged for people who eat together.
Outside
A long pool lies behind the palms, with shaded outdoor living rooms and terraces around it. Mature planting does most of the shading by early afternoon.
The staff
Housekeeping, a kitchen team and a concierge are part of the stay rather than an add-on. Menus can be agreed before you arrive.

The area
The Palmeraie is a palm grove north-east of the city, divided into large walled plots. Maison Amâra is a few minutes’ drive from the medina — close enough that dinner in town is easy, far enough that the nights are silent.
What the photos won't tell you
Every listing in the world photographs the pool from its best corner, and no photograph answers the questions that decide a stay. So before you commit, we put the following in writing for your dates:
- How far the car gets, and how many metres and steps remain with the luggage.
- Who the neighbours are, and what you will hear at five in the morning.
- Whether the pool is heated, and in which months that decides whether you swim.
- What “staffed” covers — who is there, at what hours, and who cooks.
- Where the wifi actually reaches, not just where the router is.
- Which of the property’s own photographs were taken with a wide-angle lens, and what a room looks like from the doorway.
Common questions
Do we get the whole villa?
Yes. Maison Amâra is let to a single party — six suites, the garden, the pool and the staff, with nobody else on the property.
Is the cook included?
Yes. A kitchen team is part of the stay. Menus are usually agreed in advance, and the shopping is handled for you.
How far is the medina?
A few minutes by car. Close enough for dinner in town without it becoming an expedition.
