Where it actually is
Half an hour from the centre, in the countryside. We say this first because it is the fact that decides whether the property suits you. Guests who arrive expecting a ten-minute hop to Jemaa el-Fna are disappointed; guests who came for silence are not.
The property
Ochre buildings around courtyards, palms, a pool, and a traditional hammam with a wellness area. The kitchen cooks Moroccan food for guests, and yoga sessions can be arranged.
Who it suits
Families with small children, people working remotely for a stretch, and anyone whose idea of a week in Morocco involves reading by a pool rather than crossing the medina twice a day.

The area
This is not a Marrakech neighbourhood. Maison Daouia sits out at Al Oudanne, roughly thirty minutes from the centre depending on traffic, surrounded by fields rather than walls. Everything in the city is a drive, so a car or a driver is not optional here — it is the plan.
What the photos won't tell you
Every listing in the world photographs the pool from its best corner, and no photograph answers the questions that decide a stay. So before you commit, we put the following in writing for your dates:
- How far the car gets, and how many metres and steps remain with the luggage.
- Who the neighbours are, and what you will hear at five in the morning.
- Whether the pool is heated, and in which months that decides whether you swim.
- What “staffed” covers — who is there, at what hours, and who cooks.
- Where the wifi actually reaches, not just where the router is.
- Which of the property’s own photographs were taken with a wide-angle lens, and what a room looks like from the doorway.
Common questions
How far is it from the centre of Marrakech?
About thirty minutes by car, traffic depending. It is in open country, not in a city district, so plan on a driver or a hire car for the whole stay.
Is there a hammam?
Yes — a traditional hammam with a wellness area, and treatments can be booked.
Can we book the whole property?
Exclusive use is possible on request and is quoted separately.
